The house of Saint Laurent was founded in 1961 by Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé.

The great French brand of haute couture and luxury ready-to-wear was built with the modern and provocative spirit of its founder. Its success exploded in the 60s with the Mondrian dress and the reinterpretation of men's classics for the modern woman: the tuxedo, the safari jacket and the pantsuit became the key pieces of the Yves Saint Laurent label.
