CASABLANCA TENNIS
Casablanca is the brand that is part of the new guard of Parisian fashion. At 33, the Franco-Moroccan designer Charaf Tajer pays homage to his beautiful sunny origins straight from Morocco. Although he initially named his brand Casablanca Tennis Club, his designer refuses to call his brand Casablanca a sports or streetwear house. Casablanca is the Moroccan effervescence and the feeling of escape that emanates from the port city overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. He creates collections described as "after-sport" that are infused with the richness and colors of Morocco. It is a wardrobe that is comfortable while remaining chic. It is composed of pieces in sparkling tones, merging with slightly kitsch influences but which maintains a fairly minimalist look.
In four years, Charaf Tajer has shown that his talent has no limits. He has imposed his signature which is truly unique and in his image. The designer is a former manager of a Parisian nightclub. He therefore multiplies his activities in several areas. This allows him to build a great reputation over the years. He even makes friends with important personalities in the music industry but also in fashion, like Virgil Abloh. It is therefore obvious that Casablanca is a success and is greatly talked about today. The fashion shows are events that often take place in front of many prestigious guests. The designer also does not hesitate to invite rappers directly onto the podium himself. Like Swae Lee who made a notable appearance on the catwalk during Paris Fashion Week in 2019. But there is also Gunna who caused a sensation during the brand's very first show, parading in a long pink coat, the famous terrycloth tracksuit and an XXL chain that recalls the slightly bling-bling side of the brand. Charaf Tajer shares his eccentric universe, devoid of any negativity and where the joy of living reigns. By offering a diversified cultural approach, the designer from Casablanca aspires to erase all boundaries by making a universal brand, with inspirations from the four corners of the world. He is undeniably the new face of Parisian fashion.
